Science - Digestive System

In science, year 4 have been looking at the digestive system. We used crackers and a banana to replicate the food being broken down in the stomach.

We used orange juice to act like the acid in the stomach. The old tight shows what happens in the small intestines.

Nutrients are absorbed back into the blood and waste is carried along to the large intestines.

We all know where it goes from there! The children wrote some great paragraphs about the journey of food.
