Heart Dissection

We donned our scientific hats and gloves on Monday to carry out a dissection of pig hearts as part of our topic for this term: Blood Heart. First we learnt about the anatomy of the heart so that we knew more about what we were looking at when it came to the dissection. This prior knowledge development enabled the children to look at the heart in a very scientific way and to locate all the key elements of the heart. Although it was a slightly smelly experience, we all enjoyed getting the chance to do this (albeit some more than others!).

The Galaxy Gliders proved their super scientific skills and behaved impeccably during this task - go team!
