Nursery & Reception

Welcome to Witney Community Primary School Early Years Foundation Stage

Within our EYFS, we have a Nursery class (Rainbow) for children aged 2-4 and a Reception class (Sunshine) for children aged 4-5.

The EYFS shares an outdoor area which both rooms have direct access to and we offer freeflow throughout the day. The outdoor area is a shared area.

The EYFS is run by teachers and Early Years Practitioners:

Mrs Emily Taylor: EYFS Team Leader and Teacher

Miss Donna McGowan: Nursery Manager

Mrs Helen Mellin: Nursery Nurse

Miss Bull and Mrs Skuse: Teaching Partners

Mrs Ridgway, Miss Connick, Miss Bull: Nursery Assistants

Miss Lockley: Apprentice Teaching Partner

Nursery Admissions

Your child will be offered a place based on our Admissions Policy, available on the School’s website Policies page. Please note that being offered a place in our Nursery does not automatically entitle your child to a place in Reception.

Bookings will be made via the school office on a term by term basis to start September, January and April. Requests need to be made a term in advance.

Tax-Free Childcare Scheme

If you meet the above eligibility for the 30 hours funded childcare you can also apply for tax-free childcare at the same time.

Nursery Admissions January 2023

We welcome visits to our nursery. Please contact the school office to arrange a convenient time. To apply for a place in our Nursery please contact the school office for an application pack.
